Background:

Startup Club ZA has launched Platform ZA, an online platform to help South African tech startups find people, jobs, events, and resources all in one place. It is for founders, investors, service providers, and job seekers.

Founded in 2023, Startup Club ZA has engaged extensively with founders, operators, and investors across South Africa’s startup ecosystem. Through these interactions, the organisation identified limited access to people, partners, and resources as a major challenge for startups at both early and growth stages, often more pressing than product development itself.

“Many founders struggle to reach the right stakeholders, secure credible partners, gain meaningful exposure, and access trusted resources without large budgets or established networks,” said Startup Club ZA. Platform ZA is designed as a self-service tool to bridge these gaps, leveraging the organisation’s national network to provide startups with greater visibility, opportunities to recruit talent, and connections to potential partners early in their growth journey.

The platform is free to use and open to tech founders, investors, service providers, community leaders, event organisers, and anyone interested in South Africa’s startup ecosystem. Users can access startup news, job opportunities, events, and potential partners in one place.

Startup Club ZA said Platform ZA will continue to improve over time, with user feedback guiding new features and future updates. The launch is part of efforts to connect and support South Africa’s tech ecosystem and encourage growth.

By bringing resources and networks together, Platform ZA helps startups find support more easily and allows founders, investors, and others to work together to strengthen South Africa’s tech presence.
